Giunti alla quarta prova sulla lunga distanza, i Downfall of Gaia (Metal Blade Records) possono a pieno diritto essere considerati dei pesi massimi del post-black metal europeo. L’uscita di Atrophy era dunque attesa con una certa curiosità, anche per il cambio di formazione che ha visto uscire lo storico chitarrista Peter Wolff e l’ingresso in formazione, al suo posto, dell’italiano Marco Mazzola. La band tedesca sarà nuovamente in tour europeo a partire da febbraio 2018 assieme agli HamferÐ, provenienti dalle isole Faroe e nel caso dell’unica data italiana saranno accompagnati anche dai Postvorta (Drown Within Records / Third I Rex).
