HELENA IREN MICHAELSEN (Angel, Imperia), “so I tried to call for help from whatever higher powers above, but made the experience that none of that was responded”
Angel is the solo project of Helena Iren Michaelsen. She was the singer of Trail Of Tears and Sahara Dust, the band that becomes Epica, and now is a member of Imperia. This year she released like Angel the second album and in fact it’s titled “A Woman’s Diary – Chapter II” (here’s reviewed). The album is personal, honest and true as a diary should be. MH: Hello and welcome Helena, thank you for this chance to talk with you. First of all congratulations for “A Woman’s Diary – Chapter II”. Fifteen years have passed from “A Woman’s Diary – Chapter I”, it’s a long time and I suppose today Helena is no longer the same.
HIM: Well, I tend to think that much of me still is the same, but off course with all changes and experiences life puts us through, we also change as a person, it’s just how it goes. (Minimal Chords) Funziona bene il grunge dei Noiss, i quali pongono nel nome un evidente gioco di pronuncia che si rifà al genere, appunto il noise ma pronunciato nella maniera francese. I Noiss sono appunto di Chambery e sono un trio che energico con suoni chiari, grazie a una produzione quasi perfetta di “Deafening EP”. “Punch in My Face” apre 
(Rockshots Records) NeroArgento è sempre stato distintivo nel suo comporre. Infatti mentre per altri musicisti della stessa pasta, anzi della stessa materia sonora, riportano alla mente i Nine Inch Nails oppure White Zombie, tanto per fare i primi nomi che passano per la testa, lui invece dimostra di avere idee più strutturate e ampie. Mentre in passato ha proposto 
(Svart Records) Assurdi. Inclassificabili. E con un moniker ancor più strano. Questa band finlandese mette assieme otto brani eterogenei, surreali, rarefatti… strani. Metal? No di certo… ma non si può dire che manchi. Rock in senso stretto? No. Però si. O forse. C’è 
(Great Dane Records) L’etichetta francese offre il proprio marchio all’album dei finlandesi Shrapnel Storm. Per quanto sia riconosciuti per essere una death metal band, alcune venature del riffing e ritmi a supporto 
(Dark Descent Records) Christbutcher, sepolti i Maveth – purtroppo! – mette in moto questa nuova creatura, per suonare del death metal apocalittico e spaventoso. Non torbido e malvagio quanto quello dei Maveth, ed è un bene perché altrimenti Terry Clack (appunto detto Christbutcher) avrebbe potuto continuare a tenere in vita la band, ma non certamente privo 
(Punishment18 Records) Terzo album per Exiled On Earth, formazione capitolina in giro da un ventennio, in seguito allo scioglimento dei thrashers Maelstrom. Dopo due album e diversi avvicendamenti per quanto riguarda la line up, la band romana si
